How many pots do you need for your hair?
- For Short Hair up to Bob Length: One jar/bottle is sufficient, whether you have thin or thick hair.
- Below the Shoulder up to Waist Length: Two jars/bottles are recommended if you have thin hair, while those with thicker hair may need 2-3 jars/bottles.
- Tailbone or Longer: If your hair reaches tailbone length or beyond, consider using three or more jars and adjusting based on hair thickness.
How to apply Manic Panics Blue Moon Neon Blue Hair Dye
- Pre-lighten (bleach) your hair to achieve a pale blonde base before applying the colour. Please note that results can vary depending on your hair's texture and natural colour.
- This product is not intended for use on eyebrows or eyelashes. In case of eye contact, rinse immediately with warm water and seek medical attention.
- For an accurate and vibrant colour tone, we recommend pre-lightening (bleaching) your hair to at least a level 9 or higher. Darker or warmer shades are best suited for hair that can only be lifted to a darker blonde shade. Achieving an even level 10 platinum blonde is necessary for pastel shades like our Creamtones® or any shades that have been "pastel-ized" with our Pastel-izer®), as well as for all shades of grey (Alien Grey, Amethyst Ashes, and Blue Steel).
- Begin by washing your hair with a deep cleansing/clarifying shampoo. Do not apply conditioner.
- Thoroughly dry your hair with a blow dryer to ensure it is highly porous and to remove excess moisture.
- Apply the Manic Panic Hair Colour evenly throughout your hair, ensuring it saturates each strand. The colour may develop a slight frothy texture.
- Cover your hair with a plastic cap and use a hair dryer to apply heat for part of the processing time. This helps open the hair cuticle, allowing the Manic Panic hair colour to penetrate effectively.
- Leave the dye on for 30-45 minutes.
- Towel and/or blow dry your hair and style it as desired.

- To prolong the vibrancy of your colour, follow these tips:
- Wash your hair with a sulphate-free, colour-safe shampoo and conditioner using cool water.
- The more frequently you wash your hair, the faster the colour may fade.
